The Spintex Knights have once again proven their dominance in Ghanaian basketball, finishing the 2025 Accra Basketball League regular season unbeaten with 36 points after 18 matches. All games were played at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, where the Knights displayed discipline, consistency, and a brand of basketball that fans will remember for years to come.

A Season of Dominance

The Knights’ campaign was nothing short of remarkable. In the first round, they cruised past opponents such as Air Force (64-49), UG (70-59), Braves (87-57), and Police (82-35). Their second round was even more ruthless, highlighted by a 101-65 victory over Air Force and an emphatic 84-41 win against GRA.

The Coach’s Perspective

For Head Coach Salorm Thomas, the unbeaten run was not the ultimate goal but a product of consistent growth. "Going unbeaten wasn’t really part of our goals. Our main target was to improve game after game, be better than we were the previous season, and address the weaknesses we had on the court. Along the way, things came together, and I’m happy we were able to stay consistent, grow as a team, and finish the season unbeaten,” he explained.

New Faces, Big Impact

The Knights’ strength this season was boosted by their new recruits, who integrated seamlessly into the squad. "The new additions have been very, very helpful. We’ve seen Luak, Omar Outman, Thomas, and the twins Japheth and Shem all playing key roles. Aziz also stood out he’s a young kid, but he took on a lot of responsibility and still managed to make a big impact,” Coach Thomas said.

Eyes on the Playoffs and BAL

With the regular season behind them, the Knights are setting their sights on bigger challenges. “For us, the focus now is the playoffs. The regular season is done, and the games ahead will be tougher, so our goal is to defend our title. Beyond that, we’re also preparing for the road to BAL. Right now, it’s about being ready for the playoffs and continuing to deliver for our fans,” Thomas emphasized.

Respecting the Challenge

Despite their dominance, the coach acknowledged that their journey was not without resistance. “Every team gave us their best shot. We faced UG, Air Force, Task, Coldstore, and Braves, and all of those games were tough. You could see every opponent wanted to beat us badly. But I think our experience and togetherness always prevailed, especially when it came to executing at the crucial moments,” he said.

As the Knights head into the playoffs, they do so unbeaten, confident, and motivated not just to defend their crown but to cement their status as Ghana’s basketball powerhouse.
