Businessman and football administrator Isaac Tetteh, widely known as T.T. Brothers, has strongly criticised the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over its proposed amendment to extend the presidential term limit from two to three.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite, Tetteh accused the leadership of the GFA of prioritising personal gain over the development of the sport.

“What the GFA is doing does not make sense, and what they are bringing on board is unacceptable. They are only trying to enrich themselves through their positions,” he stated.

The proposal, which would allow a GFA president to serve for up to 12 years instead of the current 8-year cap, has stirred intense debate in the football community. Critics, including Tetteh, argue that the change could entrench power and hinder fresh ideas, while proponents claim it will provide stability and continuity.

The matter is expected to be a key topic at the upcoming GFA Congress, where delegates will decide its fate.
