Real Tamale United is facing a potential lifetime ban from the Ghana Premier League for fielding ineligible players in their outstanding league game against Dreams fc on Wednesday.
According to reports, the team used unregistered players to face Dreams FC, while the first-team players boycotted the match in protest of unpaid salaries and entitlements.
The Ghana Football Association is expected to take swift action against this breach of the regulations of the game.
The Tamale based club who have been relegated from the Ghanaian top-flight, were demolished 8-1 by Dreams FC with a goal from Ishmael Dede, a brace from Benjamin Bature and Agyenim Boateng Mensah stealing the headlines with five goals.
Dreams fc takes on Aduana Stars in their final game at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu while Real Tamale United visits Accra Great Olympics.
