Three prominent Ghanaian table tennis officials achieved top marks in the rigorous ITTF Advanced Rules Examination held on July 26 during the 2025 Africa Youth Championship in Lagos.
Evaluated by Rachel Ramos go the Philippines, David Senyo Ahiaba, (International Umpire since 2012, National Referee, and the first Ghanaian ITTF Level 3 Coach), Richmond Aguiar (International Umpire since 2022, Certified ITTF Administrator, and ITTF Level 1 Coach), and Eric Ofori Addo (International Umpire since 2022, Ex-Black Loopers Captain, and ITTF Level 1 Coach) excelled among eight participants.
This success significantly enhances their officiating credentials and reflects positively on Ghana’s table tennis expertise. It underscores their deep commitment to upholding the highest standards of the sport, while also highlighting the growing technical capacity within Ghana’s officiating community.
This clean sweep marks a major credential upgrade for Ghana’s officiating cadre and aligns with the development drive under GTTA President Mawuko Afadzinu’s administration. The achievement firmly positions Ghana among Africa’s elite in technical table tennis standards.
