 Black Stars forward Samuel Owusu has returned to Europe to sign for Serbian top flight side OFK Beograd for the 2024/25 season.

The 28-year-old, who is a known face in the Superliga following spells at Cucaricki and Radnik Nis, inked a deal to join OFK after a short spell at NEOM SC in Saudi Arabia.

A rejuvenated Owusu looks poised to return to action after struggles with fitness in the past few months, where he spent time on the sidelines.

His return to Serbia is a huge boost for Beograd due time his enormous experience in the league and his ability to produce magic with his sweet left foot.

Owusu will be eyeing a return to the Black Stars as he makes a huge comeback with his third stint in Serbia.

The Ghana international began his career abroad at Radnik Nis before moving to Turkey to sign for Genclerbirgili in 2016. He returned to Serbia in 2017 to sign for Cucaricki, where he made a huge mark, grabbing the attention of then Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.

The 17-time capped Ghana international was part of the Black Stars at the 2019 and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
