Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of midfielder Samuel Tenedu from Legon Cities.
The young defensive shield has put pen to paper on a multi year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
Asante Kotoko announced the signing of Samuel Tenedu via a statement on their official website on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
“Kumasi Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Tenedu, a talented defensive midfielder from Legon Cities, on a three-year deal,” the club’s statement read.
Before adding, “The 21-year-old successfully completed his medical in Kumasi earlier this week and will be joining the squad ahead of the upcoming season.”
Samuel Tenedu, who hails from Obuasi, spent his early years in football with Ebony FC in Kumasi.
Last season, he made 30 appearances for Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League, winning multiple man of the match awards.
Asante Kotoko are still bringing in players to fill the gap left by the departure of over 20 players after the 2023/24 season.
