According to Mohammed Polo, the club needs him together with some other old players of the club to steer the lead for the club to help survive following their recent poor run.
"Hearts of Oak are their own problems, they must survive, and if they fail, these players will never be forgiven."
"The only way to help Hearts of Oak avoid relegation is to motivate the players. And this can only be accomplished by inviting myself and other former club players", he told Kumasi based Akoma FM.
"If the current leaders had vision, they would have invited us to the camp and thoroughly explained the club's culture and the dangers that would result if the club get relegated to the players, but they will not do so because their actions demonstrate that they do not need us", he added.
Accra Hearts of Oak are currently a place above the relegation zone and would need a massive turnaround to survive.
They take on Nations FC on Friday, 30th May at the Dr Kwame Kyei Stadium in Abrankese.
