Former Ghana International, Mohammed Polo has urged the Black Stars team to make it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to the 1978 AFCON winner, the Black Stars have no excuse not to qualify for the next FIFA World Cup with now that it's been expanded.
"These players have been assigned to the Black Stars, even though I fervently hope they succeed and will fully support them, they will definitely hear from us if they don't", he told Kumasi based Akoma FM.
"Ghana cannot afford to miss the World Cup, and since we failed in Qatar and Afcon, we should make it mandatory to qualify for the US this time. Previously, there was only one slot available, but now there are five, so we must seize this opportunity to become eligible."
"As I mentioned before, qualification is essential because Ghanaians will not overlook failure, and this can only be attained via diligence", Mohammed Polo told Akoma FM.
Ghana is scheduled to play Mali on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the Matchday three games before hosting the Central African Republic on Monday, June 10, 2024, in the Matchday four games.
