Former Asante Kotoko star Isaac Oppong scored the decisive goal for CSF Spartanii Sportul in their first victory of the 2024/25 Moldovan Superliga season.
The Ghanaian youngster scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against Dacia-2 Buiucani at the Baza Zimbru 2 Stadium.
Oppong found the back of the net in the 58th minute, marking his debut goal for the Gladiators.
The 21-year-old winger, who joined Spartanii Sportul on a free transfer this summer after mutually parting ways with Asante Kotoko, has made an immediate impact at his new club, scoring in just his second appearance.
This victory was particularly significant as it ended Spartanii Sportul's winless streak against Dacia-2 Buiucani, a team that had previously dominated their head-to-head record with three wins and one draw.
With this crucial win, CSF Spartanii Sportul will look to carry their momentum into their next league match against FC Balti on August 24th.
