Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo was on target for Elfsborg in their 2-0 victory over Rijeka at the Boras Arena on Thursday evening.
The in-form midfielder registered his 9th goal of the season as they eliminated Rijeka in their third round of the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday night.
Baidoo, 25, played in instrumental role in Elfsborg's qualification into the next round, having scored against Moldovan giants FC Sheriff, Fc Pafos before scoring against Rijeka last night to seal qualification into the next round of the competition.
The former Vision fc man got his side's first goal of the night in the 68th minute as he fed off an assist from Ahmed Qasem.
Ahmed Qasem added salt to injury for FC Rijeka as he sealed the victory with an 83rd minute strike for the homeside.
Elfsborg will take on Fc Molde on August 22, 2024 in the next round of qualifying matches.
