Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been named in Ghana's squad ahead of their crucial FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad.

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been named in Ghana's squad ahead of their crucial FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad. 


The 32year old joins Kamaradini Mamadu(Medeama SC) and Razak Simpson(Nations FC) as the only local players in the squad to face Chad.


Arsenal Star Thomas Partey makes a return to the team after a long absence. 
The team will open camp on March 17, 2025, for a four-day training camp before facing Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21. The 2010 quater-finalist will later travel to Morocco for a clash against Madagascar on March 24. 

Ghana, currently sit second in Group I with 9points in four games after wins against Madagascar, Mali, and the Central African Republic.
